In Giovanni Maisto Ferreira’s Touch Me, To See Us, consensual and loving touch surpasses digital connection. He/they awakens a multisensory world that reminds us how connected we are as human beings, and from there researches the importance and power of physical communication.

Together with Giovanni we were able to create a space that embraced you. I made different objects for each room, objects that made you curious to touch. A large lying object with arms that could hug you while you watched Giovanni’s film Touch’m. A cave with swings who looked like they where made of stone but where soft while touching. The open space was filled with a family of chairs, large, small for 1 person or for several people, all with a different fabric finish, which gave each object a different experience.

Because it was important to Giovanni that every sense is stimulated, he asked Spyros Drosoploulos to create immaculate scents representing his memories. I designed a scent pot for them that you can pull over your head to have a intimate experience smelling the scent. At the opening event, food designer Soyeon A was there to give people the experience of tasting amazing food inspired about the exhibition. We created a food table installation for her to display the food.
